For students, home users, or anyone setting up a minimalist workspace, this printer remains a solid, straightforward choice. Just remember to buy the high-yield toner cartridge and use the Canon PRINT app for the best experience.

Note: The setup process for Wi-Fi on the printer’s tiny screen (which is just a two-line LCD) can be fiddly. It’s easier to connect initially via USB, then configure the wireless settings using the Canon software on a PC. This is where the LBP6030W gets interesting. The printer is cheap to buy (often found for under $100), but like all printers, the true cost is in the consumables.

4.0/5 Best for: Text-heavy, low-volume, wireless home printing.
