2 - Hocus.pocus

Going into Hocus Pocus 2 , I was skeptical. The original is a cult classic, not because it’s a great film, but because it’s weird, quotable, and perfectly ‘90s. The sequel had big broomsticks to fill.

If you love the original unconditionally, you’ll have fun. If you demand logic from a movie where a 300-year-old witch uses a Roomba, this isn’t for you.

Verdict: Fun for a Halloween night with low expectations. Just don’t expect a masterpiece — expect a . 🧙‍♀️🍂 hocus.pocus 2

It’s not trying to be The Dark Knight of witch movies. It’s trying to be a goofy, heartfelt Disney+ sequel, and it mostly succeeds. Plus, that post-credits scene? 👀

7/10 for vibes. 5/10 for plot. #HocusPocus2 #SandersonSisters #HalloweenMovies Solid post: Hocus Pocus 2 – Better than expected? Worse? Let’s talk. Going into Hocus Pocus 2 , I was skeptical

Yes, the plot is thin. Yes, the new kids are forgettable. BUT — seeing Winifred, Sarah, and Mary sing, bicker, and accidentally wreak havoc again made me grin like a kid. The “One Way or Another” cover scene? Iconic. The callback to the black flame candle lore? Clever.

★★★☆☆ (3/5) Perfect for: A Halloween double feature (watch the original first). Option 3: Enthusiast / fan-first (for Tumblr or fan groups) Okay, hot take: Hocus Pocus 2 is pure, unapologetic fan service — and I don’t hate it. If you love the original unconditionally, you’ll have fun

Hocus Pocus 2 – a spell worth casting or a cauldron of missed opportunities? 🔮

Put down your pitchforks. Let the Sandersons have their amok time. 🕯️

The Sanderson sisters are back with the same chaotic energy, but the sequel lacks the accidental charm of the 1993 original. Midler, Najimy, and Parker still have perfect comedic timing, and the musical number is a highlight. Yet the new teen leads feel flat, and the pacing rushes to replicate nostalgia without earning it.
