The ship rises. Disappears into the clouds.

MARK (Invincible) stands over the body of a THRAXAN SOLDIER. The soldier’s chest is caved in. Blood—green, thick—pools in the mud.

Lucan’s expression doesn’t change. He backhands Mark across the clearing. Mark crashes through three trees, a boulder, and stops against the stone pillar where Nolan is chained.

EVE: “It’s searching for Mark.”

Kregg stands over him. The other Viltrumites are gone—retreated to their ship. It’s just Kregg, Nolan, and Mark.

The collar in the sky begins to descend.

FIGURE: “They told me it was a fairy tale.” Then—a VOICE

But he stands.
