Akbar Sinhala Episode 1 - Jodha

Before the tiger attacks, Akbar leaps forward with his sword. In one swift strike, he slays the tiger.

Jodhaa stands before the temple of Lord Krishna inside the fort. She wears a red dupatta, the color of marriage and sacrifice.

Akbar laughs, a deep, genuine laugh.

"Piyanā (Father), this is not an alliance. This is slavery! The Mughal Emperor Akbar demands a Rajput princess as a bride for political peace. Are we goats to be gifted?"

Jodhaa stares at him. He removes his helmet.

"If Princess Jodhaa agrees, she will not be a prisoner. She will be the Empress of Hindustan. And her people will see that the Mughal crown respects their honor." Before the tiger attacks, Akbar leaps forward with his sword

"Then let us fight!"

"Back, beast! I am a Kshatrani!"

Inside the Emperor’s tent, (23 years old) sits on a low throne, sharpening his sword. His eyes are restless. His foster mother, Mahan Anga , watches him with a hawk’s gaze.

For the first time, they see each other—not as emperor and princess, but as two souls made of fire and pride.

"Adham Khan, remember who speaks before whom. I am the Emperor. And I decide what is next."
