Montalban's hideout can be typically anywhere in (modern day) Mexico or Panama

Monty is usually located in one of these places (in order of probability):
1) North of Vera Cruz,
2) near Villa Hermosa,
3) On the south or southwest coast of Bay of Honduras,
4) the East Coast of Mexico south of modern day Cancun or in Belize.

look for seamarks on the coast
The game often has several landmarks with the same name

Even though they're not on the map they will guide you to Lost Cities and Montalban's Hideout.

It's trial and error when there are more than one in the area. Drop anchor, head inland a bit, and if you see an Arch Rock, Deserted Cabin, Stone Head or Indian Totem you're in the right area. If all you see are geysers and dead trees you're not in the right area. This works well with 1 or 2 map pieces as well.

Another trick is to try to walk through the geysers and dead trees. If you can walk right through them, you are not in the area represented by the map.

Geysers are randomly spread around so not reliable as markers.
Use telescope both while sailing and on land.

coastlines in purple are the likely culprits for Lost Cities &
often Montalban's hideout

waters highlighted in red are the most frequent areas to find named pirates.

Map uses the Traditional Nation colors

Dutch - Orange
England - Red
France - Blue
Spain - yellow

Generic help for where is any of the Lost cities or Named pirates
located.

Then, the logo appeared. The music, crisp and synthesized, filled the silent room. His character was still there. The event timer read: Ends in 6 hours.

The last byte trickled through the fiber optic cable at 2:47 AM. Marcus stared at the download manager on his screen: . Size: 548 MB. Status: Complete.

Specifically, he was three days away from losing a limited-edition character in Counter:Side that wouldn't rerun for another eighteen months. His phone was dead. His tablet was a brick. The only working machine was his old Windows 7 tower, and it refused to run the game natively.

He exhaled, a cloud of relief fogging the cold air of his basement office. For three days, the apocalypse had been silent. Not the nuclear kind—the connectivity kind. A freak solar flare had fried the switching stations across the tri-state area. No Wi-Fi. No 5G. Just the hum of a backup generator and the whir of an external hard drive.

The screen flickered.

“LDPlayer 4 (64-bit) – Offline Installation.”

He saved the LDPlayer_4.0_64bit_Offline_Final.exe onto three separate drives. He buried one in the backyard.

A week later, when the emergency broadcast system finally crackled back to life, Marcus had not only secured his limited character but had also beaten the secret boss on floor 97.

That’s why he had driven forty miles to the abandoned university library a week ago. He had remembered the old tech forum post: “LDPlayer 4—The last great 64-bit offline build. No bloat. No auto-update. Just raw performance.”

Marcus wasn’t a prepper. He wasn’t a survivalist. He was a gacha farmer .

Marcus held his breath. He dragged the Counter:Side APK file from his backup drive—a file he had saved in 2023 out of pure paranoia—and dropped it onto the LDPlayer window.
