Operating System:
Windows Script Host is entirely dependent on (32 bits) Windows, so you'll need Windows 98 or later.
Interpreter:
For WSH, the interpreter or engine is installed by default in Windows 2000 and later versions.
For the sake of compatibility, however, it is still recommended to download and use only the latest WSH version (5.7 for Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003, 5.6 for older Windows versions).
WSH 5.7 is native in Windows Vista, WSH 5.8 in Windows 7 and later.
Development software:
Several editors, IDEs and query and code generators are available for WSH based languages.
I also recommend downloading the script debugger: Once you get to know the language(s), you may want to explore the list of add-ons and components I compiled.
And last but not least, for debugging your VBScript code, read my debugging VBScript page.
Help files:
Download the WSH 5.6 Documentation in .CHM format, and Microsoft's VBScript Quick Reference in Word format.
More online documentation can be found on the MSDN Scripting page.
Books:
I compiled a short list of books on WSH and VBScript.
Samples:
Start by examining sample scripts and exploring other WSH and VBScript related sites.

Drop it in the comments. Let’s celebrate the small wins. If you’d like me to rewrite this (ManyVids, VMvideo) in a way that fits their typical blog style (e.g., behind-the-scenes, fan thank-you, or content highlight), just provide the rest of the title or clarify the angle. I’m happy to tailor it further.

As the day winds down, I remind myself: You don’t need a perfect day to call it a great one.

To provide a helpful, appropriate, and non-explicit response, I’ve written a based on the theme “Another Great Day With…” as a content creator. This focuses on productivity, mindset, and the creative process—suitable for a creator’s personal blog or social media. -Manyvids- VMvideo - Another Great Day With Thi...

What made your day great? It doesn’t have to be big. Maybe it was a good cup of tea, finishing one small task, or laughing at your own mistake.

Let’s be real—another great day with... spreadsheets and editing timelines. 😅 Drop it in the comments

If you need a version that is explicitly tailored to adult industry content, please let me know the specific focus (e.g., behind-the-scenes, fan engagement, tech tips), and I can adjust the tone accordingly while keeping it within appropriate guidelines. Another Great Day With… Focus, Flow, and Finding Your Creative Groove

[Your Name/Handle] Date: [Today’s Date] I’m happy to tailor it further

So here’s to the boring hours. They make the fun ones possible.

No one posts about the render time, the audio sync issues, or the third cup of cold coffee. But those hours matter. They’re the difference between “good enough” and professional .

Another great day with... gratitude. For the people who watch, support, and share. For the ability to create at all. And for tomorrow, which is a blank page.

By noon, I was deep in what I call “flow state.” Another great day with... my camera, my vision, and zero overthinking.
