One of the things that's been most frustrating for me as a big tranny is the lack of representation in media. So often, trans characters are portrayed as thin, cis- passing, or even androgynous. But what about us big, beautiful trans women? Where are we in the media landscape?

Artists like Lizzo, Tess Holliday, and Indya Moore are just a few of my favorites - their music and messages of self-acceptance inspire me to love myself, curves and all. As a big, beautiful trans woman, I've often found myself navigating a world that's not always designed with my needs in mind. From finding clothes that fit and flatter my curves to dealing with the stares and comments that come with being a larger woman, it's not always easy being me. But I've come to realize that my size and my trans identity are a huge part of who I am, and I'm determined to celebrate them.

Fortunately, there are some amazing shows and movies out there that feature plus-size trans characters. For example, the TV show "Transparent" features a number of trans characters, including some who are plus-size. And movies like "Disobedience" and "Timbuktu" showcase beautiful, curvy trans women in leading roles.
