Patch - Nfs Carbon 4gb
Need for Speed: Carbon (2006) is a beloved entry in the Black Box era of NFS. However, on modern Windows 10/11 systems with large amounts of RAM (4GB+), the game suffers from a notorious flaw: random crashes to desktop (CTD) , especially during long play sessions, when loading certain events, or when using high-resolution texture mods.
The root cause is not your hardware, but the game’s executable itself. When NFS Carbon was released, 32-bit applications were standard. By default, Windows limits a 32-bit program to 2 GB of virtual memory (even if you have 16 GB of physical RAM). Once Carbon hits that ~2 GB memory usage (e.g., from caching textures, car models, world data), it attempts to allocate more, fails, and crashes instantly. nfs carbon 4gb patch
