I purchased the Starsat receiver hoping for a reliable satellite experience, but unfortunately, this has been a major headache right out of the gate. Software is corrupted / Wrong SW version Rating:
According to multiple forums and my own trial and error, the only solution is to manually download the correct software/firmware from a PC, transfer it to a USB drive, and re-flash the receiver. The main issue is the software (SW). The version pre-installed on the device is either incorrect or corrupted. Upon booting up or attempting to scan for channels, the system becomes sluggish, unstable, or throws errors indicating a firmware mismatch.
Disappointing and frustrating.
